Can someone charge between combats so that an overload is ready to fire at start of battle?

Also, while the overload is charging or cooling down can someone fire a different weapon?

I want to say no to both, that the process requires your attention, but I'd like an official ruling

There already is: Check out the "*" at Energy Overload - you can not "freeze" the overload to fire when it's the right time - you've to fire immediatly or the overload is over.

But you can use a different weapon while the overload is charging (if you have a free hand, enough time to ready another weapon and so on). Overloading is just pressing a button, then the weapon goes:"BeBeBeeBeeeeBEEEEBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" - and FIRE! (or press stop)

Bitte genau so im endgültigen Regelwerk als offizielles Überladungsgeräusch festlegen!
