I want to make sure I understand.
A phenomenon happened where everyone forgot about/where the great dwarven hall Schimmerstein was. It was erased from memory and all known documents. Dwarves simply didn't know where it was anymore.
Recently, dwarves have started to recall details to its location and maps, etc. so some of the gates have been found but not opened yet.
Do I have that correct?
