Titel: Talen Question: Bloodletting/ADERSCHLITZER

The German used in describing the types of weapons that can be used includes "Schußwaffe" which is translated in English DS4 book as "firearm".  Which we think of as 'gun'. Is the intent to restrict to only gunpowder weapons or to include bows/crossbows, etc too.?  I hope so, as typical fantasy campaigns have no guns.

In german "Schusswaffe" represents all weapons that are fired -including crossbows, bows annd blow weapons.

to be honest: Schusswaffe isn't exact either, because the value in the rules also represents thrown weapons like spears and daggers (or in GS grenades)

Actually, "ranged combat / Fernkampf" and "melee combat /Nahkampf" would be more precise - as it is represented in the DS4-EN version of the core rules.... first chapter

For GS I thought about deviding the ranged weapon value in "guns" and "energyweapons" - but I did not do it for keeping simplicity...

It might be a mistranslation or just inaccurate wording...

Firearms are referred to as "Feuerwaffen"
Bows, crossbows, etc as "Fernkampfwaffen"
The total of all ranged weapons as "Distanzwaffen"
The wording "Schußwaffen" appears in the "Aderschlitzer"-talent only - so it could mean both. We have to wait for CKs answer...

Firearms weren't meant, seems the translators took a nap
